🚨**Home Rehab volunteer dates are FULL through the end of 2026. Interested volunteer groups will be waitlisted until 2027.**🚨

This is a group volunteer project, best for groups of 3-8 people. Please note, corporate and congregational groups are prioritized for this project.

Home Rehab can accommodate 1-2 volunteer groups per month depending on acquisition and renovation rhythms. Please have 1 coordinator from your group complete this registration form and our Volunteer Manager will contact you to coordinate and confirm a volunteer date.

Help us rehabilitate Family Promise’s manufactured homes to make them beautiful places for families to call home! Volunteering with our Home Rehab project provides groups with a hands-on opportunity for team building and community impact. Groups consistently share how meaningful it feels to work on projects that directly impact families in their own community and leave knowing their time created a home where a family with children — who have experienced a housing crisis — can begin again with dignity and stability.

What to Expect:

• Volunteers lend a hand with various interior and exterior projects that may include painting, cleaning, yard work, hanging blinds, installing cabinet hardware, etc.
• Volunteers are engaged on weekdays for 3-hour blocks from 9am-12pm or 1pm-4pm.
• Project sites are located across Kent and Ottawa counties.
• Manufactured homes are not required to meet ADA standards and therefore narrow doorways, stairs, and tight spaces may limit accessibility for some volunteers. Project work often involves frequent kneeling, bending, and moving up and down.
• Volunteers must be at least 13 years old to participate.
